Kristy has been an athlete for her entire life. She was a competitive gymnast for 11 years and a competitive rower for three years during which her boat placed 10th in the nation. When Kristy started college at the University of Florida (UF) in 2011, she began CrossFit at Gator CrossFit. She immediately fell in love with the intensity that CrossFit provided as it reminded her of her time as a gymnast and rower. Kristy has been doing CrossFit ever since and was thrilled when the opportunity to become the new co-owner of Gator CrossFit presented itself.
Kristy graduated from UF with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a Masters in Elementary Education. She is excited to be able to combine her love of fitness, teaching, and business as a co-owner of Gator CrossFit.
Kalan graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2012 with a Bachelors in Marketing. Born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, Kalan moved back to Gainesville after graduating from UCF and opened his first business, Top Tier Graphics and Apparel. When Kalan and Kristy started dating, Kalan fell in love with the sport of CrossFit and he and Kristy talked about owning their own affiliate one day. Kalan is excited to expand his business horizons and be a part of a community as great as Gator CrossFit.
A wife, mom of two, former Marine and CrossFit enthusiast! She was born in St. Augustine, raised in Gainesville, a beach bum at heart that loves the outdoors and leading an active lifestyle with her family by her side. She stumbled into the CrossFit world in 2011 and never turned back.
Her favorite thing about CrossFit is the atmosphere. A group of people from all walks of life, coming together as one to work a little harder, get a little stronger, laugh a little louder and live a little longer.
“At any moment I can look around the gym to see all of the sweaty smiles, people fighting for every last rep and giving everything they have in that very moment, while also motivating each other along. As a coach, it does something to the soul. As an athlete, it means more than anything to have this amazing group of people that I consider family. People who I know I can count on to help motivate me on my not so great days, because even coaches have bad days. People that I know truly care not just about gym life, but each other’s personal lives as well. Our gym truly feels like home.”

Amie is a wife and mom to three beautiful children. She started her CrossFit journey at Gator CrossFit in 2013 because she was looking for something that was different every day and challenged her in ways she had not been challenged before. Gator CrossFit has now become her home away from home. As a former elementary school teacher, turned stay-at-home mom, Amie decided to combine her love of teaching others with her love of CrossFit and made the choice to become a trainer. When she is not coaching, she likes to spend time with her family, fishing, hunting, relaxing on the beach and of course doing CrossFit.
Fauve has dabbled in many sports, both as an athlete and as a coach, but has always had a passion for activity and fitness. She was a state swimmer, is a snowboarder, played softball, soccer, hockey, and many other sports, has coached swimming and taught snowboarding for a while.
She started CrossFit four years ago in Frisco, Colorado as a way to rehabilitate an injury from snowboarding, and immediately fell in love with the sport. Since then, Fauve has competed in and judged many competitions and has been a member and coach at three other boxes before landing at Gator CrossFit. Along with her level one certification and the many physical benefits of CrossFit, the sport has blessed her with many opportunities to meet people from all over the place and lend a hand during the CrossFit Games. Fauve now acts as the lead for Staff Services under the Atlantic regionals and works in Volunteer Control at the Games.
Now working on her Bachelors of Marine Biology, if you can’t find her in the water you’ll find her here at the gym. She is very excited to bring her energy, knowledge and passion for CrossFit and always willing to help our athletes succeed here at Gator CrossFit.
