Gator CrossFit Massage Therapy
Why do so many Personal Trainers get a Massage License and vice versa? Because having the knowledge and experience in both training and massage therapy is imperative to YOU, the client’s wellness. Imbalances between weak and tight musculature and overworked and tight musculature are often an overlooked problem in training
facilities, especially if the trainer does not have the knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, or how the body functions; Conversely, a massage therapist does not see their client in action and may overlook some of these imbalances.
At Gator CrossFit, your trainer is your Massage Therapists and your Massage Therapist is your trainer. Our personal training sessions are all encompassing; we use training, corrective exercise, and massage therapy in your sessions; As a group client, since your trainer is a massage therapist, when or if you begin to have some onset pain, they can help you identify the source, help you correct it, AND keep you from hurting yourself even further. And you don’t have to be a member to get relief; Your Massage Therapist will do a complete intake and full postural scan prior to your massage to ensure all of your needs are met.
We use the following types of Massage Therapy:
- Deep Tissue or Connective Tissue Therapy: This type of massage is good for relieving tight musculature and imbalances.
- Neuromuscular Therapy (or NMT): Neuromuscular massage therapy works in conjunction with
the nervous system and the muscular system to relieve those painful trigger points.
- Injury Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation of sprains and strains, pain management from whiplash or other injuries and therapy for old or chronic injuries with scar tissue
- Sports Massage: Pre-event and post-event sports flush and post-event stretching
- Stretching: Passive stretching to relieve tight muscles and active stretching to improve Range of Motion (ROM)
- Education on stretches that you can do yourself or at home
Cost for each massage is for $70. We do offer special pricing for multiple massages bought up front.
