Here at Gator CrossFit we believe that exercise is only 50% of your training... nutrition is the other 50%. Training will only get you so far. Eating for health, eating for longevity, and eating for performance can increase the quality of your life and as a CrossFitter!
Our counseling is based off of these three theories:
The Paleolithic Diet
The paleo diet focuses on eating foods that a hunter/gatherer would eat: meat, vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Sound simple? It is, but there's a little more to it than that. We can take you through the process to make sure you are meeting your needs and your goals. The Zone
The Zone diet gets into more nitty gritty than the Paleo diet. On the zone, you can eat many different types of foods as long as you fit it into your blocks. We will take you through step by step with this (slightly intimidating at first) but very beneficial way of eating.
Metabolic Typing
Eating for your metabolic type has many benefits. It is based on the theory that everyone metabolizes their food very differntly and has different reactions to specific ratios of protein, carbohydrates and fat. Once we determine your metabolic type with an easy test, we show you how you can eat to improve your health and energy.
Our Services
3 one-on-one sessions $99
This includes an introductory session which we gather information from the client to determine thier needs and the path we should take to help you reach your goals. Then, when the time is right, we meet again for a follow-up session to track progress. The third session can be used as a trip to the grocery store to learn how to shop for nutritious, easy meals or this session can be another follow-up session, depending on clients needs. One-on-one sessions are perfect for the client who has specific needs or for the client who just wants to get into their best shape possible! Single sessions also available for $40.
Nutrition Seminar
$45 for current clients, $60 for non-clients
Every few months, we hold a nutrition seminar that includes 2 group sessions. They are two weeks apart and between an hour and an hour and a half long. Although there is less personal attention, there is still plenty to learn and how to go about your diet to meet your goals.
